The Day i Became a Father to a Lovely Baby Girl

It's been a really really long time since the last i wrote anything on my blog. Therefore, i would like to take this opportunity to write about my enjoyment of being a father for the first time as it signify another step in my life.

I will start with the moment i woke up at 5am early in the morning of June 9th 2014. I was awoken by my wife Christine when she told me she saw blood in her underwear and it was time to deliver the baby. I straight away woke up and off we go to the hospital. As the hospital was just 15 minutes away from our house, we reached there about 5.30am. We straight went into the "Dewan Bersalin" aka labour hall as we were told by our gynae previously that we should go straight to the labour hall if my wife had any symptom of delivery.

Once we reached the labour hall, i was told to register for my wife's hospital admission while she was examined by the standby doctor there. My wife felt that her water bag had burst as she felt the fluid started dripping. The nurse there told us they had already called our gynae Dr. Roslan about our case and he was on his way. In the meantime, we were guided to our room in level 5 and my wife was told to lie on the bed while they examine her. It was already 8.30am by the time we reached the room.

We waited for Dr. Roslan to come and he finally show up around 11 plus. In between the time, i went back to my house to freshen up myself and brought the thermos flask so that easier to get hot water from the nurses. Dr. Roslan advised us to go for cesarean if my wife did not have any contraction within the 12 hours which is around 5.30pm that day. He said it is not good for the baby if the amniotic fluid has gone dry. We agreed with the doctor's advise and he left the room.

Time really moved very fast that day, a blink of an eye, it's already 5.30pm. Dr. Roslan came again and we decided it has to be cesarean to deliver the baby. So, all the preparation was done before my wife being sent to the operation room at 7.30pm and i was told to wait at the hall for the baby arrival. I was really nervous that time and my heart was beating twice as fast that day. At 8.30pm, i saw Dr. Roslan came out from the operation room and i quickly grab hold of him to ask how my wife and baby were doing. He said everything was fine and mother and baby were in good health although the baby's weight was a bit low at 2 plus kg and she has to be observed inside the operation room together with my wife. Although he did ask me to wait at the room at level 5 as they will bring her back to the room later on, i insist to stay at the hall to wait for my wife and baby.

At 10pm, both my wife and the baby were pushed out by the nurse and that particular time was my first glance looking at my own daughter. I was really touched and thank god for giving me a lovely baby girl which i always dreamt of having one. At that time, i just realize that i have become a father of a lovely baby girl and how great the feeling it was for me at that moment.

Euro 2012 - Mighty Germany Striker Mario Gomez

Euro 2012 had just started with a bang and already into day 5 of the competition. The teams that impressed me so far were Germany and Russia. With the kind of flowing football that they have shown in the early matches, there's a possibility that either one will go on and win the Euro 2012 this year.

The most promising striker for Germany at this moment was none other than Mario Gomez. The 26 years old Bayern Munich striker scored 3 goals in two matches and look good to become the tournament's top scorer.

His finishing touch was superb in the match against Netherlands and the 2 goals he scored were brilliant.

Hopefully, he can continue to score more goals and Germany will definitely in the Final of the tournament and eventually wins the Euro 2012 cup for the fourth time.   Go all the way GERMANY !!!! Yeah !

Magnificent iPad from Apple.Co

APPLE ROCKS !!!!!!

Needless to say, iPad was one of the most interesting creation from Apple that launched in April 2010 apart from the iPhone a few years back .

I have been using my iPad 1 since August 2010 and until now i have no regret in getting it earlier than it's launching date in Malaysia 4 months later. It has been the most exciting IT gadget that i have in posesssion for decades. Of course the excitement cannot be compared to my first ever car that i purchased in the year 1995.

At this very moment, i've been using it almost daily for my work & leisure, which is a good thing based on my opinion. Even though the 2nd version of iPad has been released merely few months ago, nothing much has changed from it's originator apart from the dual camera function and a much lighter in terms of weight.

Although, there are lots of competitors who has launched their own version of tablet PC/device, none can still match the iPad. Be it Motorola Xoom or Blackberry Playbook, they are just merely 2nd best compare to the originator, period.

MY DOUBLE STOREY HOUSE FOR SALE

MY DOUBLE STOREY HOUSE FOR SALE !!!!

( 31, Jalan SM 1/3 , Taman Selayang Mulia, Batu Caves, 68100 Selangor )

Yes it's true ... I'm selling my Double Storey House after staying there for 4 years. I'm really reluctant to sell at first but since my dad pass away late last year, i inherited his house in Taman Kok Doh, Jalan Segambut, KL which was where i was brought up in the early years. For the past few months, i have been running around from my Selayang Mulia home to the Kok Doh house almost every morning to offer prayers to my ancestor before i went to work. I have decided that it's about time for me to sell my Selayang house and move to the Kok Doh house permanently after discussion with my wife. My wife wouldn't mind staying in the single storey house in Kok Doh as long as the distance to her office in KL reduced.

Let's get some facts on my house which are currently for sale :
  • The house built up is 16x70 ,
  • 3 Bedrooms & 3 Bathrooms,
  • Extended kitchen (which i renovated when i first move in)
  • Renovated Porch
  • Fully Automatic Gate System
  • House Alarm System
  • Attached Kitchen Cabinet
Since then, i have renovated my Kok Doh house and move in on the 23rd Oct. 2010. It took a 5 tonne lorry to load all my stuff and cost me RM420 for the trip. Anyway, all the sweat was worthwhile as the double storey house was finally cleared and sold to a married couple.

That's all for now.......

openSUSE 11.1 Rocks ..... hope to download 11.2 soon

Hi there,

It took me almost 5 months to start writing again in my blog. There were so many things happened during this period of time, which i don't even know how to describe. Anyway, to start off with my recent interest in openSUSE, that was when i started to install the openSUSE 11.1 using the ISO format which have been downloaded by one of my colleagues to replace my previous OpenSUSE 10.1 on my dual boot laptop.

To find it quite amusing that i was actually very impress with the 11.1 as it solved my previous wireless problem in 10.1 that forced me to temporary stop using it. To my surprise, 11.1 was not the latest and openSUSE 11.2 was currently the latest release. They actually had a launching last month and i missed the opportunity to be there.

I found it hard to believe that i actually using it more often nowadays than the previous month to surf the NET. Now that i have installed most of the updates, i'm reluctant to replace it with the latest release. Eventually, i will install it but not at the moment. Most probably will install it into another spare company notebook, thats for sure to view the difference.

Cheers
Ian

Sometimes you just have to pamper yourself ....

Hi there,

After a disappointing event that i have attended on Friday night, weekend rest would be a good remedy for all that. Well, not quite yet .... i was asked by my wife to accompany my sis-in-law buy a new mobile phone as she needed some advise. Anyway, not until late in the afternoon that we started our journey there. Destination .... Sungei Wang Plaza. Expected, the traffic was terrible and i dropped them off at the entrance while i search for a parking space. Finally, i managed to park near the old Cathay cinema and started to walk along the Bintang Walk pathway.

Suddenly a strong wave .... kindda like a magnetic wave pulling me aside and within minutes, i was inside Low Yat Plaza instead of Sungei Wang Plaza. I took my mobile phone and called my wife saying i won't be joining them as i was in Lowyat shopping mall. So, off i went to Sri Computer to look for a new earphone ( my previous one died on Friday ) and while looking for it, i grabbed the Wireless Headphone as well (I needed this for the sake of my wife) :P.

RM14 (earphone) + RM27 (Wireless Headphone) that how much i paid for it. Well, it looks similar like this one but it's black in colour. It's really worth it as i tried it at home later and the quality is good too.
I was about to leave Lowyat when suddenly i remember i had a chat with my collegues previously about how we can watch rmvb files on TV with a special gadget called the HDD Multimedia Player. We were discussing about the price which cost around to RM250 or above. That prompt me to search around for it since i was there and no harm getting know the current price.

I went to numerous shops and the price were around RM199 and the most they can give discount was RM190. So, when i stumble around a shop with this uncle asking how he can assist me, i told him about a gadget which can play rmvb file on TV and straight away he pulled out the hardware and showed it to me. He explained all the format that it can run and tell me that it's the "IN" thing nowadays. So i asked if the price can be reduced and he say " I can give you RM180 for that" . Wow ! i said to myself, RM 180 ..... deep inside me i said i want it but then i told him it's still expensive and all this gadget will out date eventually and the price will drop in 2 months time. He paused for awhile and then asked me what's my budget. I told him My budget is only RM150 and he said cannot lah ..... I told him i have only that much of money with me and i can wait for the price to drop eventually. I started to move on like i was not interested anymore and then he stopped me and said alright RM150 for it. So i paid for it and head back to Sungei Wang Plaza to look for my wife.
From RM199 to RM150 - I didn't know i was such a good negotiator. :P

Altogether Rm14 + RM27 + RM150 = RM191

Sometime you just have to pamper yourself by buying what you crave for (only if you can afford it) and the satisfaction is indeed unimaginable .......

What a waste of time attending this dinner invitation ...

Hi there,

Why ? you may say ..... i felt so frustrated about this dinner invitation until i have to express it out in my blog. To me, last Friday's dinner invitation by a vendor of our company was a waste of time for both my colleagues and myself. Why i said that ? it's because we never expected the function to be such a boring occasion and to add salt to it, the food was a big joke. To think that it is a 5 stars hotel and a grand ballroom, we never expected it to be that bad.

Well, to be frank all that doesn't really matters to us at all. What we were aiming for on that day was their lucky draw prize which is the most eye catching prize ..... the LG 32' LCD TV as it was clearly visible in front of us. Though it was surrounded by numerous other prizes which were wrapped nicely, both my colleague and i are eyeing for the LG 32' LCD TV.

Unfortunately, when the lucky draw started, we found out that there were only 3 prizes to be given out. What a pathetic company which is so well known in Malaysia and with 50 over partners and customers attending the invitation, there were just 3 prizes to be given out. I can say most of the guest there were not happy at all as most of them left just after the lucky draw concluded. So as my colleague and myself.

My suggestions to the organizer of the occasion - Please ensure you have enough lucky draw prizes to be given out the next time you organize an invitation or else you will left with only your staff attending it.

3 Lucky Draw Prizes --- What a Joke.
